A True Family Practice:
Honest Chiropractic Care in Tempe
We're a family chiropractic practice in Tempe led by Dr. Daniel Markus. Every treatment plan is tailored to YOUR diagnosis, not a preset number of visits. We believe in direct doctor access, honest recommendations, and tracking progress by what actually matters to you.
At Apex Posture and Sport, we try to add to our patients' lives more than just chiropractic. We know your kids, your job, what you did last weekend. With 706+ five-star reviews, we've built our reputation on personalized care and genuine relationships. From car accident rehabilitation to chronic pain management, we meet you where you're at and create a treatment plan based on YOUR specific findings.

Our Story: A True Family Practice
Dr. Daniel Markus started Apex Posture and Sport with a simple idea: chiropractic care should be honest, personalized, and actually help people get back to their lives. No corporate bureaucracy. No cookie-cutter treatment plans. Just a small family practice in Tempe where you're known by name, not a number.
We saw too many clinics recommending 36 visits for everyone regardless of their injury, or worse, 99 visits with "pay upfront or go home" policies. A 16-year-old with a stiff neck doesn't need 6 months of treatment. Someone with 16 years of chronic pain might need longer care. Treatment should be based on YOUR diagnosis, not preset visit counts designed to maximize revenue.
Since opening our main office at Elliott and McClintock in Tempe, we've earned 706+ five-star reviews by doing exactly what we said we would: honest recommendations, tailored treatment plans, and direct doctor access. We also have personal injury locations in Laveen and North Phoenix for specialized care. We serve the entire East Valley, including Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, and San Tan Valley. Eventually, we become friends with our returning patients. We try to add to their lives more than just chiropractic.

How We're Different
Chiropractic care shouldn't be cookie-cutter treatment plans that ignore your actual condition. We focus on tailored care based on YOUR diagnosis, not preset visit counts. That personalized approach is what creates real results and gets you back to your daily activities.
No Intake Departments, No Corporate Bureaucracy
At Apex Posture and Sport, you communicate directly with your treating doctor. Not an intake department. Not a branch manager. Not a long chain of command. When your paralegal calls about your case, the doctor answers and knows exactly what's happening. Scheduling, referrals, MRI coordination—all handled by us directly. That's how a family practice should work.
- Paralegals get quick, accurate answers about your case
- No waiting on hold or getting transferred
- Your doctor knows you personally, not just your file
Treatment Based on YOUR Diagnosis
We don't believe in 36-visit plans for everyone or 99-visit recommendations regardless of injury. Your treatment plan is based on your individual diagnosis, X-rays, history, and severity. A 16-year-old with a stiff neck might need 3 visits. Someone with 16 years of chronic pain might need longer care. We recommend what's clinically appropriate, not what maximizes revenue.

We Track What Matters to YOU
Every visit starts with "How's the pain today?" But we don't stop there. We track your activities of daily living: Can you pick up your kids without pain? Put on your socks without sharp pain? Sit to stand without hesitating? Pain scale from 7/10 to 3/10—that's measurable progress. Getting you back to functioning without pain on a daily basis is what matters.
"Your pain went from 7 to 3. Can you pick up your kids without hesitating now? That's what we call real progress."
Serving the East Valley
Our main office is located at Elliott and McClintock in Tempe, Arizona. We also have personal injury locations in Laveen and North Phoenix for specialized care. We proudly serve the entire East Valley, including Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, and San Tan Valley.
Small Family Practice, Big Results
We're a family practice in Tempe. You see the same doctor every visit. We know your kids, your job, what you did last weekend. Eventually, we become friends with our returning patients. We try to add to their lives more than just chiropractic. That personal connection matters because it affects how we understand your pain and what gets you back to living your life.
- Same doctors every visit—no rotating staff
- We know your family, your work, your lifestyle
- Treatment informed by understanding YOU as a person
Understanding Your Specific Situation
A tattoo artist with 16 years of chronic pain is different from someone rear-ended last week. We assess where you're at—your injury history, current pain level, daily activities, and goals. Then we build your treatment plan from there. What we focus on with one patient will be different from another. That's how you actually get people back to their lives without pain.
"Treatment plans based on YOUR diagnosis. Not cookie-cutter approaches."

Why We Do Things This Way
We could recommend 99 visits for everyone and maximize revenue. We could focus only on getting patients in the door rather than getting them better. We could apply the same three stretches to every patient regardless of their condition. But that's not how you actually help people. Honest assessment first. Tailored treatment plans. Care based on YOUR diagnosis. That's what creates real results.
We Tell You What You Actually Need
If your X-rays look good and pain is minimal, you don't need months of treatment. We say "We think 6 visits will make you feel better," not "You need 36 visits minimum." We recommend what's clinically appropriate based on YOUR findings. That's what honest chiropractic care looks like.
- Treatment recommendations based on clinical findings
- We tell you when you don't need more care
- No "pay upfront or go home" policies
Diagnosis and Treatment Together
Thorough Diagnosis
History, orthopedic testing, neurological testing, range of motion, X-rays, palpation
Tailored Treatment
Foundation exercises, massage therapy, adjustments customized to your current state
Ongoing Adjustments
Changes day-to-day based on how you're feeling, not a rigid preset plan
Back to Your Daily Activities
This isn't about hitting a certain number of visits or collecting payments. We're focused on getting you back to functioning without pain on a daily basis. Can you pick up your kids? Put on your socks? Sit to stand without hesitating? When your pain goes from 7/10 to 3/10 and you're doing the activities that matter to you—that's what we call success.
"Getting patients back to functioning without pain on a daily basis is very transformative."
What to Expect
Effective treatment requires thorough diagnosis and personalized care. Here's what happens from your first visit to ongoing progress tracking—and how we build treatment plans that actually get you better.
From Diagnosis to Treatment
Every patient starts with a comprehensive evaluation. 80% of diagnosis comes from asking the right questions: When did this happen? How did it happen? What was the exact moment you noticed it? Then we do orthopedic testing, neurological testing, range of motion assessment, X-rays (to rule out arthritis, disc degeneration, or old fractures you might not know about), and palpation. You'd be astonished how many people don't know they have old fractures. Based on YOUR specific findings, we create a tailored treatment plan.
We Explain Everything Before We Do It
Scared of your first adjustment? We get it—a lot of people have never been to a chiropractor before. We explain every adjustment beforehand. We show you what we're going to do. We go lighter rather than harder on day one. We err on the side of caution. 99.9% of the time, everyone responds beautifully. Most patients say, "That's not as bad as I thought, and it gave me a lot of relief."
- Explanation before every adjustment
- Cautious approach, especially on first visits
- Foundation exercises tailored to your condition
